BMW plans to mass produce electric motorcycles C Evolution

BMW plans to mass produce electric motorcycles C Evolution which has been heavily promoted and tested in various events in Europe, including at the 2012 Olympics in London.

C Evolution is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet motors, with an output of 15 horsepower. However, the maximum speed of the motor is barely any noise is limited electronically to 120 km per hour.

The ability to accelerate from 0-100 km / h can be achieved in a claimed 6.2 seconds, according to BMW is equivalent to a 600cc petrol scooter skills.


 

Evolution is the driving force C batteries 8 kWh lithium-ion battery, and can be fully charged from empty condition within four hours, with a 220 V power socket and current home 12 Ampere (or can be filled within three hours of electricity use 220v/16A).

This battery can take the motor a distance of 100 miles before recharging stun again.

C Evolution offers a choice of four driving. Road Mode means that the motor can accelerate full, recycle energy when braking. Eco Pro mode acceleration limit but add mileage 10% -20%. Sail Mode minimizes energy regeneration when the motorcycle slid without drawing gas. Dinamyc combines full acceleration mode with energy recycling.

Battery box is a major component in the chassis. The large size of the batteries also add weight to the bike significantly, heavier than gasoline motors and C650GT BMW C600 Sport.

Steel pipe under the handlebars directly connected to the battery box on the front and the ith swing (swing-arm) behind the single.

As with other BMW motorcycles, C Evolution using tech brake anti-lock braking system (ABS). This bike also features traction control so as not to slip when cornering fast.
